The Intel Delid-Die-Mate is a tool for removing the heatspreader (beheading/delidding) for the CPU socket LGA1700. By removing it, direct die cooling is possible, which means that the CPU cooler is mounted directly on the CPU chip. This allows for a significantly optimized heat transfer.
